A little larger than I anticipated. The dimensions are accurate, I'm just 4'11" and forget that I'm not regular sized. What looks like hot pink in the pictures is more of a magenta jewel tone, which I like.
The bag design is thoughtful. Water bottle holders on both sides. Extra straps and buckles will come in handy for securing stuff like a sweater or jacket when the bag is full. The back has a nice vertical center channel that will prevent your back from getting overly warm. The laptop sleeve is padded on the outside but not on the inside, which I like because I feel traditional padded sleeves take up too much of the interior space. A couple of small organizing pockets and a removable key clip are inside of the front pocket. The separate top pocket is great for little things you want to access quickly. This will be my go to travel bag, esp. basic economy flights where you only get a personal item. The zipper pulls on the bag I received are not as pictured in the product photos. They are sturdy, but open at the end (like two tails instead of a continuous loop), so you have to grasp them rather than hooking a finger on them. They are yellow with rubberized magenta ends, so it looks cooler. Easy enough to change out with some black cord if you prefer that functionality.
I got this one for myself and one in black for my guy. He really likes that water bottle pockets are big enough for his nalgene bottle (32 oz. wide mouth tritan).
I'm pretty impressed with this bag, it's sturdy, good back padding, thoughtful strap placement, ruggedized in all the right places. And since I got it on sale for $40 I'm extra pleased
